AR Environmental was engaged as a contractor to complete the remediation and bulk earthworks of a large 55 hectare manufacturing facility. The works involved managing multiple contaminants across Category A to Category D soils, including asbestos-impacted soils, PFAS-impacted soils and water, lead-impacted soils, and hydrocarbon-impacted soils.
Excavation and abatement of over 120,000m³ of asbestos-impacted material across the site. Classification and identification of more than 36 existing stockpiles, with each stockpile treated accordingly. Backfilling was completed under Level 1 conditions, with processing carried out to maximise the volume of soil suitable for reuse while meeting strict environmental and geotechnical parameters. The team successfully met the project timelines and delivered innovative solutions to overcome complex project constraints.

All work areas are thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated, followed by clearance testing and certification to confirm the site is safe for reoccupation.
